1.指道教正一道的“三天(玉清、上清、太清)正法”。 相傳 太上老君 授 張道陵 “三天正法”。 後正一道多用此法驅鬼降妖。 見《雲笈七籤》卷六。
《四游記‧果老殿中辨鹿》： “時有 葉法善 者， 嘉禾 人， 世為道士， 嘗遊 白馬山 古室， 遇二仙人， 授以正一二三之法， 能制服怪鬼。”
2.動作時口說數字以計數。 習慣常至“三”止。
元 無名氏 《盆兒鬼》第三摺： “﹝正末﹞做出門科云： ‘且住， 私場演， 官場用。 若到 開封府 去， 他不說時， 如何是了？待俺試敲咱。 這是盆沿兒。 ’做敲科云： ‘一、二、三。 ’”
3.猶言頭緒、辦法。
《雍熙樂府‧一枝花‧道情》套曲： “飄零的不知明暗， 默默的自取勘。 眼底渾無一二三， 流落在江南。”
4.原由。
劉賓雁 《關東壽人傳》第二章： “無緣無故關了我一千多天了， 我能不要求他們說出個一二三來。”
